Membership Application
SFWA is a volunteer, non-profit organization with the expressed purpose of fostering, promoting and encouraging the production, cultivation and appreciation of visual fine art by artists in the San Francisco Bay Area. SFWA is supported in full by gallery sales, membership fees and donations.

There are several types of membership:

New Exhibiting Artist - no volunteer time May attend all General Membership meetings and will receive all informational mailings; eligible to submit artwork to twelve Monthly Shows and to six Craft Receiving dates; may send in information to the SFWA Facebook page; may send in artwork and craft images for SFWA website; may submit images for postcard art jury process; eligible to submit work to one or more outside art exhibitions each year; artist resume is added to SFWA Resume Book; may vote in annual elections. No volunteer time required. New Application fee: $310.
New Exhibiting Artist/Volunteer
 3-4 hours volunteer time required per month. Benefits as above. New Application fee: $85 - Note: will be $110 effective 9/1/13.
New Student Artist Must be full-time student; Over 18 years of age. 3-4 hours volunteer time required per month. Benefits as above. New Application fee: $55
New Non-Exhibiting MemberNo monthly volunteer time requirement. Individual may attend all General Membership meetings and will receive all informational mailings. May vote in annual elections. New Application fee: $55
