A Bay Area native, Kara now splits her time between San Francisco and Wyoming. Living by both the coast and the mountains has inspired many of the themes in her art. A primarily self-taught artist, Kara’s principal media are acrylic and oil paints, though she also works with relief block printing and has recently embarked on forays into watercolor and gouache. By embracing a diverse range of media and techniques, she remains engaged and motivated in creating art, constantly seeking new ways to express her vision.
