Eko Wright

San Francisco-based jewelry designer Eko Wright’s passion for creating jewelry comes from the way tools and a torch can transform a sheet of metal into wearable art. Her minimalistic pieces are influenced by the Japanese concepts of nature as tranquil and elegant, yet simple and imperfect. Sterling silver is the perfect medium for translating these aesthetics into jewelry.

Inspiration from both the earth and the sky inspire her current designs. Organic shapes highlight her Botanical Collection, which evokes rustic elegance using fold-formed techniques and hammered work. Geometric forms suggesting the unknown mystery and infinity of the cosmos are emphasized in her Galaxy Collection. The hand-set stones represent the twinkling stars in the night sky. Eko seeks to create serenity in every piece of jewelry she creates.

Her work has been featured at select Bay Area galleries, including Museum of Craft and Design and City Art Gallery in San Francisco, ACCI in Berkeley and Palo Alto Art Center.
