Janet Nedeau

The photographs that Janet Nedeau has created are a collection of images of ancient sites. They are black and white images that are either infrared or digital. Her work has taken her to the Four Corners area in the US, the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, the Sacred Valley in Peru, the Stonehenge area including Avebury, Pompeii and other sites in Italy, and the Nubian Desert in Sudan.

Janet received her BFA at Wimbledon School of Art in Wimbledon England; and, a MFA at the Academy of Art College, San Francisco, majoring in sculpture and photography. She also received a teaching credential in Art from Notre Dame de Namur, Belmont; and, a Special Education and Master’s Degree in Special Education from St. Mary’s College in Moraga.

For the past 30 years, Janet has been teaching for the San Francisco Unified School District teaching art and severely impaired students. Currently, she is retired as a teacher and is pursuing her art career.
