Mei Gu has worked as an accountant for about two decades in SF with a local CPA/Law firm. Since she retired, she has started taking Art courses (in person/online) in SF City College to study Western/Modern/Contemporary art histories, Basic drawing, Figure drawing, Oil painting, and Art designs, etc. She is especially concentrated on Figure Drawing & Oil Painting, through copying and scaling the masterpieces, she creates her own artworks. Currently, she still practices with CCSF art professors and students. She thinks art is the ‘medicine’, and art is the ‘lesson’ for the rest of life. This is because color can make her calm, and because the painting can make her happy. Also she hopes that art can become a bond without borders and races!
