Misha Flores

Misha Flores has roots in St. Louis, Mexico and Texas. She’s always been an artist, with more focus on the performing arts in early life. She earned her BFA in Painting with a minor in Photography from Texas Woman’s University in 2006, and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2013.

Misha’s work explores many themes— feminism, spirituality, environmentalism, interdependence, nature, capturing the beauty and pain of existence. She is inspired by expressionism, surrealism, yoga and dance, world cultures, and experimentation. The figure is her favorite subject, but nothing is off limits. Painting and collage are her most utilized form of expression. She has shown in galleries, art centers, cafes, and bookstores in Dallas and around the Bay Area, and has won awards from the Voertman Competition, the Visual Arts Society of Texas, Goddard Arts Center, and the Art Guild of Pacifica’s Member Show Excellence Award.

Misha prioritizes volunteerism, and has had some amazing opportunities to contribute to social and environmental causes, the arts, and mindfulness. Since 2017 Misha has served in various roles on the board of the Art Guild of Pacifica, and is currently serving on the board of directors for Sanchez Art Center. She enjoys hiking with her husband, eating food from around the world, and cuddling with her critter-babies.
