Born and raised in Berkeley, CA, Pearl Lee Short is a multi-media artist currently working with life-like paper sculptures of flora. Her pieces are true to size all the way up to oversized. She was inspired and mentored by Tiffanie Turner, an internationally known local paper flower artist. Her passion for nurturing her own flower gardens of roses, peonies, irises, poppies and dahlias along with studying with Tiffanie, helped in constructing
and recreating these beautiful shapes from heavy crepe paper, inks, glue and wire. Along with many commissioned works, Pearl’s flowers have been juried at The Bedford Gallery and traveled with The
Bedford Gallery’s “World of Frida” exhibit nationwide from 2020-22 and SFWA.
