Call for Entries: May Online Show

“SFWA ARTISTS ONLINE”

Submission Deadline: APRIL 25
Show: MAY 1 – MAY 30

With uncertain and uncharted times ahead, there will be a new normal for all of us. SFWA remains determined to fulfill our mission in this changing landscape, and we look forward to seeing you all soon and to reopening the Gallery.

In the meantime we want to stay connected with you and our supporters by continuing to exhibit art from SFWA artists.  This May, we launch our first SFWA Online Exhibit: SFWA ARTISTS ONLINE. Please assist in this effort and submit one of your favorite works. That is: One image per member, and each submission will be accepted to the show.

All submissions will have their price listed online with the image with:

  • Artist Name
  • Title
  • Medium
  • Price

Mediums: 2D Artwork, Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewelry

Submission: One image per member, and each submission will be accepted to the show.

PRICING: It is important to price your work appropriately; prices that are too high or
too low impact the credibility of our gallery and the artist. Here are three helpful links
for setting prices: ArtBusiness.com, Xanadu Gallery podcast on pricing and ArtistDaily.com

Notes: Once the Submission Deadline has passed, you will not be able to adjust a
work’s title, medium, or price by contacting SFWA. Give yourself time to think it
through, or get advice, especially on the price, before the deadline.

If your normal medium is not listed, please let us know and we will add it in as a category.

Use of the Notes section in Smarter Entry –
For complex or special processes, use the  Notes section in your submission form to describe your process, techniques or materials used in your work.  This aids the Gallery staff in discussing and selling your work.  Mixed Media and Encaustic artworks, unusual glazes, or metal techniques, for example, may benefit from your description.
